Police in Glendale arrested a Florida woman on fraud charges, after finding about 50 counterfeit credit cards in her possession. The woman unsuccessfully attempted to purchase nearly $2,100 worth of merchandise at the Victoria’s Secret store in the Glendale Galleria last month. The size of the purchase attracted the attention of store personnel and the police.
Two other people connected to fraud
Glendale officers followed the suspect back to her car, where they found the credit cards, as well as electronics and clothing she had already purchased with the fraudulent credit cards. In addition to fraud charges, the suspect – Raquell Jackson – was also charged with burglary burglary, grand theft, and identity theft. Police also arrested two other individuals who were in Jackson’s car for possession of fraudulent credit cards.

Mr. Helfend will work aggressively on your behalf to get the charges against you reduced or dropped. As much as they like to win convictions, prosecutors don’t like to imprison non-violent offenders when they don’t have to. People who commit crimes like fraud often have valuable ties to their communities that are worth preserving, despite what they may have done. In this case, restitution is frequently preferred to incarceration, not only because it makes the victim whole again, but also because it does not require the State of California to take on the expense of locking up a non-violent offender, especially when the offender is not likely to repeat his or her mistake.
A successful fraud defense often depends upon the aggressiveness of the defense attorney.
