Sex crimes sweep nets 238
Sex crimes sweep nets 238
Last month, Los Angeles police announced the arrest of 238 people in April and May in two sweeps of sex crimes offenders who target children. Among the arrested were offenders accused of child prostitution, sex tourism and possessing and distributing child pornography.

Many of those arrested were discovered on the Internet, while they were attempting to arrange sexual encounters with children, or distribute or download child pornography.

A respected sex crimes lawyer

If you’ve been arrested for sex-related crimes involving child pornography, you need the assistance of an experienced sex crimes lawyer who will create an aggressive defense on your behalf. Crimes involving children are particularly difficult to defend against. In fact, you may have trouble finding a defense lawyer who will take your case.

As a criminal defense attorney with more than 30 years of courtroom experience, Robert Helfend doesn’t shy away from even the most difficult cases. Mr. Helfend will not judge you based on what you’ve been accused of. Instead, he will use his time to develop effective defense strategies that will produce the best possible outcome for your case.

Getting charges against you reduced or dropped is a critical first step. Convictions for sex-related crimes involving children will create lifelong problems like inclusion on state and national sex offender registries, difficulty finding employment and housing, and increased supervision by local law enforcement, even after you’ve completed the rest of your sentence.

Don’t jeopardize your freedom, don’t attempt to defend yourself and don’t rely on an inexperienced attorney, or one who has reservations about working with clients accused of crimes involving children.

Contact Robert Helfend or call toll-free at (800) 834-6434, (310) 456-3317, (818) 591-2809 or (805) 273-5611 for an immediate consultation on your Los Angeles County sex crimes/grand theft case.
