The Los Angeles District Attorney’s office has announced that it will not file sexual assault charges against actor Bill Cosby. The sexual assault complaints against the comedian were brought by two different women who allege that Cosby assaulted them. The first complaint dated back to 1965, and the complainant was 17 years old at the time of the alleged assault. The second assault claim was brought by a model who said that Cosby drugged her and committed the alleged sexual assault during a party at the Playboy Mansion.
Sexual assault accusations date back to 1965
According to the district attorney’s office, no charges were filed against Cosby in the first case because the statute of limitations prevented the office from bringing any charges. In the second case, investigators did not find any evidence to support the woman’s claim. The prosecutor’s investigation showed that Cosby was in New York at the time the woman claimed to have been assaulted.
