Identity theft conviction in Long Beach case
Bridgette Jackson, a Riverside resident, was convicted on identity theft charges, after having stolen personal information from more than 30 patients of the Hillcrest Care Center, a residential medical facility where Jackson’s aunt worked. The aunt had access to personal information and agreed to copy it and provide it to Jackson. Jackson then used the information to file fraudulent tax returns for other beneficiaries.

56 people affected in identity theft case

During a search of Jackson’s residence, investigators found 56 medical files from the Hillcrest Care Center, along with additional identity information for another 70 people. Officers also seized more than 50 pre-paid debit cards featuring names of other people. Jackson had previously been convicted of credit card fraud and was awaiting sentencing in that case at the time of her arrest on identity theft charges.
