An Uber driver was arrested for DUI on New Year’s Eve after exceeding speeds of 80 mph, and crashing into another driver. The car flipped over on impact, but neither the driver nor the passenger suffered serious injuries.
DUI crash resulted in no injuries
The driver, identified as Juan Pablo Garcia, was pulled from the vehicle, and police on the scene administered field sobriety tests, which Garcia failed. They administered a breathalyzer test, which showed that Garcia was intoxicated, and he was arrested. Uber says they have permanently banned Garcia from serving as an Uber driver because they have a zero-tolerance DUI policy.
